Working as a Forensic Anthropologist at the Jeffersonian Institution and writing novels on the side, Dr. Temperance Brennan is gifted with the ability to read clues from a victim's/dead person's bones. Because of this, law enforcement authorities have sought her services with murder investigations, particularly when the remains are badly burned, damaged, destroyed or decomposed that the customary identification process becomes ineffective. She teams up with Special Agent Seeley Booth who, despite having no faith in science and scientists when it comes to crime solving, has developed a special chemistry with her that makes them an effectively strong and exceptionally trusting team.
